Blackjack Perfect Pairs Bet!
Blackjack Perfect Pair is a typical bet that would be placed alongside your original wager usually in a land based Casino. The difference between this bet and your original Blackjack stake is that the dealers hand is irrelevant. The side bet is a bet that both your cards will be same number, for example Ace 7, and Diamond 7. If the pair is suited you will be paid the maximum available from the side bet which is usually around 25/1 or 30/1. If the cards are the same colour you will be paid usually around 14/1 and different colour pairs are paid around 7/1.
Although this may seem a fun additional bet whilst playing, please note that this is mathematically a losing bet and gives the Casino some additional ‘house edge’. Many land based players in particular will play this bet for an extra bit of fun because the 30/1 odds can be quite attractive to a casual player. So although I wouldn’t recommend playing this bet as in the long run you are very likely to lose, but I wouldn’t argue not to play this side bet because it does offer an extra bit fun and can make the game more exciting as you search for the 30/1 pair.
